How To Catch More Fish Without A Three Day Weekend



We have a neighbor down the street who is retired, and an avid fisherman.  Not only does he enjoy fishing, he can also catch fish.

A lot of fish!

He’s such a great guy, so much that he’ll catch, clean and filet his catch for us, bringing fresh crappie and bream, ready for our deep fryer.  It can’t get much better than that!

I also like to fish, but my level of success does not come anywhere close to his. Since I’ve never been out in the boat with him, I've always asked myself, how and why does he catch so many fish? 

A while back I finally had to ask him about why he’s so much more successful than me, what’s his secret? 

He smiled as he told me that he goes fishing Monday through Thursday.  That's when the waterways are quiet, and there are no other people on the water.  

He stays home on the weekend because that’s when all the people with jobs have to rush and cram the rivers and lakes.


Friday through Sunday, he stays at home where it’s quiet, and getting ready for another Monday of fishing or golfing.

I think he's a very smart man.
