Will It Become A Bitcoin World?
Recently, I was approached by a friend and was asked to look at a business model that was going to be using the Bitcoin as currency. Not dollars, Bitcoin. I heard about Bitcoin a few months ago and waved it off, never thinking I'd see it again. I guess I was wrong.
I decided to find out what a Bitcoin was all about and was surprised about what I read. Bitcoin is digital, or electronic currency. No banks, no Bitcoin ATMs. It's all online and you deal through and with Bitcoin Miners.
The U. S. dollar is backed up by the gold standard. In the Bitcoin world, it being an unregulated, open market, supply and demand, exchange rates, and who has the largest supply of Bitcoin will be the early drivers of this new concept, I think.
The Bitcoin has merit and I can see a place in the future when currency, as we know it, could become obsolete.
