iPhone Awareness An Increasing Necessity
What sounds like an annual activity we normally relate to
the fall harvest season across the country in about every U.S. state is quickly becoming an out of control epidemic in the
cities of America. Apple Picking is the alarming increase
of phone thefts that are occurring, particularly Apple products and mostly the
iPhone.
While some might be thinking, “It’s only a phone. What’s the
big deal? I’ll get another one,” the
wake-up call for everyone should be the brutality used at times to steal an
iPhone.
Apple reported in Q1 2013 there were 87.5 million units sold as follows:
- · iPhone 47.8 million
- · iPad 22.9 million
- · Macs 4.1 million
- · iPod 12.7 million
Learn more about Apple Picking online so everyone can be up
to speed on this issue to protect yourself from injury.
Some may think you’re a lot smarter than a crook, but you’re not. If you’re not
a crook, then you don’t think like a crook. Begin to create a better awareness of the dangers by
managing the use of these products when standing around idle, waiting for someone, or
navigating a walk through a parking lot or the mall.
Resisting a theft of a smart phone is not worth risking your life. If you’re approached and someone demands your phone, let them have the phone. You can guard against this from happening by being aware of your surroundings and always look up! So often we’ll move from place to place or stand with our eyes focused on the screen. Most of the time whatever it is you're doing on the smart phone is not that important of a communication, text or tweet to put yourself at risk.
We see more people looking looking “iPhone-zoned out ” while they are: shopping, eating at a restaurant, attending
church, grocery shopping, working, running or walking, relaxing, waiting for
the bus or subway, etc.
So, next time, before you turn your head downward, turn-up your
sense of awareness. If you can’t do
that, then remove the iPhone from your body or reach, perform an iPhonectomy so to speak. Start doing things to
protect yourself so you’re not an easy target for this senseless crime.
Stay alert - Stay safe - Stay alive.
